Discovery Plus Week

I told you I'd come back and write about my streaming for this week. If you're not interested, skip this post. I'm just going to talk about my large rotation on Discovery Plus! All of these are reality shows or documentary type shows.

First on the list is 1000 lb Sisters! I got started on this one when it first came out. They have 4 seasons currently. I find these two sisters so down to earth, hilarious and relatable. They are silly, they are brutally honest, and extremely entertaining. I am growing to enjoy their entire family too.

Next on the list is My 600 lb Life. This one has been around a long time and I have been a fan since the beginning. I love seeing how people live being that size, and I love even more how most of them get their lives turned around for the better.

Not everyone is going to be a fan of this next one, but I find it enjoyable and informational. The next on the rotation is I Am Jazz. It's about a transgender woman and her story as she grew up. It's eye opening on how people are treated who are different and she's a fun person to watch. It's entertaining.

On the list next is Extreme Sisters. I said I don't like to binge watch shows, but this is definitely one I would binge! I am trying to hold myself off though because I have so many others to watch too. This show is beyond interesting and entertaining. About sisters who are closer than close and sometimes do some strange things. This show always keeps my attention and sometimes leaves my mouth hanging open.

Next up is Worst Cooks In America! I didn't start this show when it first aired, I was a later fan. I have been watching for about 6-8 seasons maybe? This show is highly entertaining seeing how some of these people start off. And I especially love the celebrity editions! And who doesn't love learning some new recipes and watching them make some delicious food?!

So Freakin Cheap is next on the list. This is a newer one, but it reminds me of the older show Extreme Cheapskates. I believe it even has some of the same families. As it sounds, it's just a show about some families who do some extreme things to not spend money. I just find it entertaining!

Next on my list is Big Time RV. I started this one when I didn't have as many current shows airing, but now I've been skipping it because I have more important shows to watch. Once my list dwindles down again I will get back to it. I love seeing some unique and some really expensive RV's. It always makes me want one to travel the country when I get older with James. Some of them are so nice and look like they would feel like home.

Return to Amish is next on my list, however it hasn't added any of the newest season yet. So it is just sitting on my list waiting for new episodes to be added to Discovery Plus. I really love stories that show how people live that are different from me. I love seeing the glimpses into the Amish lifestyle and the big changes the people go through and the things they get to try for the first time once they leave.

This next one is Lucas' absolute favorite of all my shows. He asks for this one constantly, even on weeks I am not watching Discovery Plus. Next on the list is Body Bizarre. It's a documentary show about people who have bizarre or unique things wrong with their bodies. This is one that I started to fill space but am skipping it for now because of my long list of more important shows. I will occasionally put it on for Lucas though while I am watching or doing something else since he likes it so much.

On the rotation next is Cutthroat Kitchen. This is one I am currently skipping because of my other shows, but I will get back to it eventually. I started this one years ago when it was on Netflix because my mom had recommended it. It is a hilarious, unique take on a cooking show. I really enjoy it. I could not remember where I left off though so I have been working my way backwards in the seasons.

Sister Wives is one that I have watched for years, since it first came out. I believe James and I started this one together but he lost interest. I have been seeing it all the way through. I am currently on the last 2 episodes of the most recent season and then I will have to wait until another season comes out. I enjoy the look into people's lives that are different than mine.

Next up is My 600 lb Life: Where Are They Now? Obviously it's an update on past participants from the show and it shows the next year in their journey.

And last on my list is 1000 lb Best Friends. I started this show when it first aired and I figured since I enjoyed 1000 lb Sisters, this would be right up my alley and it was. I love their friend group and the way they show their struggles but also support each other. They are funny and entertaining too.

I have MULTIPLE other shows I want to start on Discovery Plus, but my list is already so huge I just can't see the point of adding them now. Once my list starts dwindling down, like a lot, then maybe I will start some of the other shows. I am a sucker for any sort of reality/documentary that focuses on unique people and their unique lives.

Next week is Paramount Plus and you can look for a post about those shows then!
